Airspace.xcontest.org

To create a new file, click on “new file”. Give it a name.

Enter the file by clicking on it. Go to Action/import to import an openair file with airspace zones. Once done, go to compare files.

Once you have checked all details, you can make it public. Go to Actions/properties and enable the public flag

AUP link name is the field corresponding to the code of the airspace zone that will be detected by the parsing algorythm within notams.

Once filled in, the zone is considered as activated by notam and will be deactivated, unless the parsing mechanism detects it in notams.

Notams are not structured. Therefore, the parsing mechanism may fail.

Ideally, the process should be the following:

• check in AUP list/Automatic if this zone has been parsed and potentially not matched with a given zone.

This zone has been recognized by the parsing mechanism but didn’t match anything in the database

• If this is the case then the code could be added to the AUP link name.

All files that are marked as ‘Auto-update’ are automatically rewritten from time to time, so you lose all changes. If you want to have the changes permanent, you have to tell Ondrej and Ondrej have to add this to the update process.

If the NOTAM is just one zone, it’s possible to edit directly the NOTAM shape (click the ‘enable editor’ down on the screen and paste new OpenAir shape). If there are multiple zones, it’s best to disable the NOTAM (i.e. uncheck the Free flying & Power flying categories), and create a completely separate file with the AIP SUP and remove it when the aip sup expires.
